Habitat Corridor Design

Masters of Science of Planning, Spring 2013.
Habitat Corridor Design for the Mule Deer of Southern Arizona, between the Catalina and Tucson Mountain Ranges.

The research begun through literature research of migration patterns and biome habitats for the mule deer.  The research directed heirarchy criterias for canopy and landcover types, elevations, solar aspect directions, distances from developer lands, and prefered washes that are all prefered by the mammal.

The final board outlines best management practices (BMP's) to protect and conserve the necessarly habitat for migration, breeding and fawning, moreover to improve the urban desert through greenways and water infiltration.
